Ledaig 11 yo 2005 (56,8%, Single Malts of Scotland 2016, sherry butt #900161, 564 btl.)
Nose: deep smoke, with a tarry and medicinal edge. Also blackberries and pipe tobacco. Walnuts. A little metal polish. It combines well, perhaps because there’s some vanilla to round it all off.
