This is the latest batch of Glengoyne Cask Strength (as far as I know). It is a combination of first-fill and refill sherry casks.

Nose: a less intense sherry influence than I expected. Fudge and golden syrup. Stewed plums, apricot pie, in fact lots of pastry notes and oat cookies. Hints of milk chocolate. Orange peel and dried banana too. Hints of pepper. Mouth: still on the fresh, fruity side of the sherry spectrum, with cinnamon apples and golden raisins.
