WATCH OUT!
If you are keeping samples of spirits for more than a few weeks or months, avoid caps that are fitted with glued pads inside. The vapours that constantly rise to the top will dilute some of the glue and bring some down into the spirit, which will soon be wrecked and will taste ‘chemical’. If you’ve got sample bottles that are fitted with such caps and that you want to keep, I’d advise you change the caps with caps that are “self jointing”.
